Zephyrhills Municipal Airport is proud of the growth we have
achieved in the last few years. We have improved conditions at the
airport and witnessed a growth in our local aviation community. The
City of Zephyrhills and the Airport Staff are looking to the future
and planning for it. Our Airport will be growing in the next few
years. Check in periodically and you will see each project from
start to completion.
The new AWOS
has been delivered, installed and we have final approval from the
FAA. It can be reached by dialing (813) 780-0031 or
tuning your radio to 118.975. This is just one more way we
hope to keep our pilots safe
Our latest project
was the Rehabilitation of Taxiway B. We got rid of all those potholes and made the taxiway safe for
aircraft. The project also included a paved ramp right up to
the terminal for the jet traffic that has been increasing as of
late. We hope that this will cut down on any congestion at the
fuel pumps. Kloote Construction was the contractor for
this project and we appreciate all their hard work in making this a quick project. With the completion of this project, our GPU's
will be installed so that we won't have jets on the ramp running
engines for long periods of time.
For security
reasons, we have installed Highmast Lighting. This is
lighting on top of high poles that will light up most of the tie
down area and the fuel system.
It will be a busy
year for Zephyrhills Airport. We hope that no one is too
inconvenienced by our construction and that the improvements will be
enjoyed by all.
