Following is a brief explanation of the agenda items for the upcoming July 17th Airport Authority Meeting.
Airport Rates & Fees
Based on the discussion and consensus of the June 29th workshop, regarding airport rates and fees, I recommend the following adjustments:
· In order to reward the loyalty of the existing based hangar tenants, implement a minimal increase on existing t-hangars to $200.00 per month.
· As new t-hangars are built, or existing hangars are vacated, adopt a rate of $250.00. This rate is subject to review and adjustment, once actual construction costs for new hangars are determined.
· Adopt a rate of $25.00 per month for grass tie down space.
· Adopt a rate of $35.00 per month for paved tie down space.
LPA - Proposed Work Authorization - T-Hangar Design
As of this date, I have not received the proposed work authorization for t-hangar design, requested from LPA.
Removal of Unairworthy Aircraft
Vice-Chairman Evans requested this item be placed on the agenda to discuss the possible removal of an unairworthy aircraft, which has been tied down at the airport and neglected for several years.
Zephyrmere Update / Invitation
I have included in your packet an announcement for the upcoming Zephyrmere workshop, to be held July 31. Representatives of the proposed Zephyrmere project requested this joint workshop with City Council, Planning Commission and the Airport Authority, to present their revised development plan.

Workshop Scheduling - Hangar Inspections
Chairman Graham, along with the City’s Fire Marshall and Assistant Airport Manager, recently took part in a walk through inspection of the airport’s t-hangars. I would like to request a workshop date, within the next couple of weeks, to allow for a presentation and open discussion of airport policies and local fire codes.
In an effort to increase communication and understanding of acceptable practices, airport staff plans to invite all hangar and lease tenants to attend the proposed workshop.
